Castrol Athletic JFC Gala Day 2007 Rules

 

 

Registration will be between 9.00am and 9.30am, to allow a 10.00am prompt kick-off.

 

All rules will be in compliance with the F.A. Laws of Mini Soccer (U7s to U10s) and the Laws and Governance of Small Sided Football (U11s to U13)

 

 

Teams / Players

 

All qualification ages are as per 2006 – 2007 season.

 

Teams will consist of seven players plus three substitutes which are allowed on a roll on, roll off basis after informing the referee.

 

Ball Size

 

Under 7 and 8s:            Size 3

Under 9 to 13s:            Size 4

 

Competition Format

 

Under 7’s:        8 teams in a group. Each team will play all other teams in a fun festival. There will be no league format with no results or points recorded.  All players will receive medals.

 

Under 8’s:        8 teams in a group. Each team will play all other teams with points collated. League winners and runners up will receive trophies.

 

U9 to U13’s:    8 teams in a group. Each team will play all other teams with points collated resulting in the top four teams entering a knock out stage. First place will play fourth, and second will play third. The winners of the semi finals will meet in the final. Winners and runners up will receive trophies. If level after full time, penalties will be taken to decide the winning team.

 

All games will be 6 minutes one way.

 

3 points will be awarded for a win; 1 point for a draw.

 

Group positions will be decided as follows:        Most points

Goal difference

Goals scored

Result against each other

Penalties.

Failure to attend a game will result in a 2-0 score against the offenders

 

 

Penalties

 

If penalties are required to decide a competition, 5 penalties each will be taken and sudden death rotation thereafter.

 

Particular points to note:

 

The Referee’s decision is final. Any player cautioned and shown a yellow card will miss the next match, 2 bookings; serious misconduct or a dismissal will end the player’s involvement in the Tournament and shall be reported to the County F.A.

 

Goalkeepers:                Can pick the ball up within their area and from a back pass.

Can take as many steps as required within 6 seconds.

Can kick the ball out of their hands.

Goal kicks from anywhere within area: dead ball kick.

 

The ball is allowed to go overhead height.

 

In normal play, players are allowed in their opponents’ penalty area.

 

There are no off sides.

 

All infringements will result in a direct free kick (penalty if in area).

 

Players must retreat 5 yards from free kicks or outside the area for goal kicks.

 

Referees will report continual encroachment onto the pitch, and appropriate action will be taken by the Committee against the offending line.

 

Foul and abusive language will not be tolerated and will lead to eviction from the Ground.

Report from Chester league meeting

 

·         Main points were discussed.

 

o        All teams reminded to ring results in, on time.

o        27 new referees have competed their training ready for next season, 17 of which are under 18. Please support and be patient with all referees particularly the younger ones.

o        The League will be running ‘Safeguarding Children’ courses (Child protection). SL to forward names of any Castrol requirements to the league.

o        Clubs reminded that CRB checks need to be renewed every 3 years. S.L. to check requirements with G.L.

o        As from the 2008-09 season, it will be a ‘criminal’ offence for an adult to be in charge of children if they have not undertaken a CRB check. G.L. attending a seminar at Cheshire F.A. regarding this issue.

o        The League are producing an information sheet explaining the recent changes regarding CRB etc.

o        There are a number of new teams applying to enter the league in various age groups: Princes Villa, Thornton Hough, and Helsby.

Report from Ellesmere Port meeting

 

·         Main points were discussed:

o        Thanks were given to Castrol, Ellesmere Port and Princes Villa for allowing finals to be played at their pitches.

o        Similar discussions regarding CRB etc as Chester meeting.

o        Reminder that all trophies that have been won must be returned on time.
